I've uploaded the third chapter of my Triwizard tales dealing with Harry and the 2nd task. Following Cedric's hints Harry discovers that the task involves going into the Black Lake... The Problem is, Harry can't swim. But, other opportunities present themselves...
A second story is a one shot where I wonder why Lily let herself be caught flat footed without her wand that Halloween night in '81.

- This is a story that has been bugging me for months. I post portions of my work on Caer Azkaban and my own Yahoo group Deluded Musings for those brave souls who are willing to be pre-readers for my stuff and its been fairly well received. I just asked myself, what if Harry's broom hadn't accioed, and build a new triwizard from there. Its not a secret that in a previous look at the first task I had Harry ask the Horntale politely for the Golden Egg, but in an attempt to bring the funny, in this one I asked myself what if the dragon wanted something for her trouble? From that thought I asked myself what if the various magical sentients in the world had some sort of communications that allowed information to pass between species... I mean, what if there was a magical version of the News of the World that fed the interest of the various magical species?
The result is Triwizard Tales. Hope you like it.

A new story was inspired by another story, specifically http://www.tthfanfic.org/Story-26452/Manchester+Like+Hell+He+Will.htm. It's a lot of fun, a deconstruction of the Harry gets a harem and none of the guys complain about it meme. However, it inspired this one from me. The ending of 'Like Hell He Will' cracked me up, but then I could not get this idea out of my head. It is a similar set up, a prophecy offered that says Voldemort is toast and Harry will be getting all the women... but in this one Harry hears the prediction and realizes what it will mean...

Published today, the first chapter of a HP/Bewitched crossover (the TV show, not the horrible movie). Nothing too deep, just a little fun blending the very different magic that each group controls, postulating a way that Harry could possibly have both.

-I've updated my Hufflepuff Omniverse story to chapter 5. It's dumb, but kind of fun. Harry visits Canon this time, 6th year, just as Harry kisses Ginny in the common room... oddly he's not pleased.
Wanted: A Collaborator

Wanted: A person of the female persuasion to collaborate on a new project.
- Applicant must be of the female persuasion. I want to make sure that I have a very strong female voice in the story, and being male its not always easy to know if I've done it properly.
- A working knowledge of both the Harry Potter universe and the Marvel X-men universe would be a large plus.
- for those who care, Harry is not going to be Wolverine's son/grandson/cousin/next door neighbor's college room mate's fifth cousin twice removed, nor will Harry be related to Jean Grey in any way, shape or form, and Harry will not be a telepath, have claws, manifest probability powers, accelerated healing beyond that shown in HP canon, or in fact be any kind of mutant, nor do the Xmen (as a group) really give a good crap about the plight of British Magical Society... All of those have been done, and by better writers than me, so I'm trying something different.
- This story (Current working title: Harry Potter and the Obligatory Xmen Crossover (will most likely change)) is intended to take up the slot in my schedule freed up when I finish Sun Source, and will be of a similar format. 10 chapters of 10k+ words.
- To be clear, I'm not looking for a beta, but for a collaborator. We will work together as much as possible and point out where the other is being stupid.
- Anyway, if any of our lady writers is interested, let me know and I'll send you a copy of the overall outline... (as soon as I've finished it anyway) for your corrections and markups to see if you're interested in the story.

- A quick announcement about a new story. Road Trip, a one shot that tells of the Adventures of Harry, post Voldemort when he climbs on Sirius' bike and, well, takes a Road Trip. Hermione invites herself along, as do Lavender and Luna eventually.
- This is a grown up story (or at least as grown up as any of my stories tend to be) so, grown up(ish) sex happens.
- On a unrelated side note, our own JBern had published an anthology of original fantasy stories written by some of the very best of the HP Fan Fiction writers out there, and one by me too. I suspect that I was included so that the others would look so much better in comparison. There are 13 stories with everything from Horror to Humor to Heros, and twelve of them are pretty darned good. Check it out:

- I've updated 'Harry Potter and the Invincible Technomage' to chapter 16, and I'm starting to bring a little more technology into the story. The Technomagic starts showing up next chapter when Harry makes an interesting discovery.
- With everything I need to get done it's sometimes hard to remember that Harry's current story age is only 12, so I've been trying to get him to do more 'kid' things.
- Anyway, it's up, hope you like it.

- If anyone cares, I've updated my original piece 'A Ghost Story' because of some fairly severe logical flaws in the story pointed out by readers.
- Well, I fixed them as best I could and remain true to the internal logic of the story.
- There have been suggestions in reviews for a series of stories about the Lieutenant and his boys. Well, I can promise that if any ideas come up, I will give it a try, but I think I'm pretty much done with that story. As far as the spcific requests to cross this tale into the Buffy universe, I'm going to let you all in to a deep secret. I never saw a single episode of the Buffy series. I did see the original movie and thought that it was funny in a really silly dumb sort of way, but I seem to be the odd man out when it comes to that Slayer series...
- I've never seen flirefly either [shrug]. They both must have been up against something else I or She Who Must Be Obeyed liked.

Uploaded an original short story that I started writing for NPR's Three Minute fiction contest. It turns out I couldn't tell a story in 600 words if my life depended on it, so it's here instead of leading me off to fame and glory.

The Board is a one shot that grew, as many of my bunnies do, out of a discussion on the Caer Azkaban newsgroup. The topic was a proposed one shot where Minerva discovered the Filius was a far more 'hands on' Deputy Head than she had been.
The discussion mutated as Newsgroup discussions are wont to do, and before long people were pointing out the more obvious flaws in each of the teaching/support staff... and The Board was born.
- it also gave birth to a crack bunny that I've so far resisted, but for who knows how much longer. What if Hogwarts was the 'Special' school in the UK? What if the Hogwarts Express is known as 'the Short Train' by the Real preemminant school of magic?
-- I'm not going to write that... I hope.

- Chapter seven of The Sun Source, my Harry Potter/Destroyer cross is up today. Been working on it for a while, and I think I've ironed most of the kinks out... (which of course means I've only missed a few dozen.)
- A combination of RL and a few rampant bunnies have been monopolizing my time
- You can't imagine how hard it is to concentrate on a story like The Sun Source when you've got a Harry Potter/Phineus and Ferb fushion rolling in your head (I really want to do a 'Agent O' with Hedwig and her Arch nemisis Lucius Malfoy)
- Anyway Chapter 7 (of 10) is up. Hope you like it.
Marriage Contracts

My Marriage Contracts fic is now complete on the site. This version is a fairly minor rewrite pulling the worst of my Weasley bashing from the story, and to give the Hermione thread a better less open ended ending.
- We've got something of a snowstorm going on right now, so I'm working on a one shot that's been gnawing on me for a while. What if Horcruxes didn't work?

Chapter 3 of 4 for my Quantum Leap/Harry Potter fusion... Not really a crossover as I'm simply borrowing the ideas from QL rather than the characters and situations... Though I did amuse myself a bit by dressing Luna in Choker Whites for the first chapter and having her call Ron 'the Nozzle' because it seemed appropriate... Any way, chapter 3 is up and I've started working on the forth and final chapter.
- I believe I've come up with a fairly original finish for Tom, at least I've never seen anyone use it before. That means that its probably only been used six or seven hundred times before.
